Creating an auto-route

The auto-route feature is initiated using the RouteTo option in the chart context menu.

  1. Select the location for the desired end point for the route.
  2. Select RouteTo from the context menu.

    The RouteTo option is only available when compatible cartography is in use.

  3. The system will attempt to generate a route automatically.

Once the route has been generated a dialog will be displayed with the following options:

  1. Auto-route created option — select to Follow the route (Not recommended).

  2. Bin icon — select to delete the route.

  3. Check route option — select to check if the route is safe to follow. (Recommended).

Important

Auto-routing should only be used as an aid to planning.

To ensure safe navigation, you MUST check the proposed auto-route before following.
