Moving a waypoint in an auto-route
When an automatically generated route includes cautions, the caution areas need to be checked and if required removed before the route can be safely followed. Waypoints within the route can be moved from the Auto-route review menu so that the cautions can be avoided.
From the Auto-route-review menu:
- Select and hold on the waypoint closest to the caution symbol.
- Select Move.
- Move the cursor to the new location for the waypoint.
- Select the Save button.
Once the waypoint has been moved the caution symbol is removed.
Note
When waypoints are moved, you must ensure that they are placed in a safe, navigable location, as the system does not apply the safety distances criteria to additional waypoints.
