Inserting a waypoint in an auto-route

When an automatically generated route includes cautions, waypoints can be inserted into the route so that any cautions can be avoided.

Waypoints can be inserted into any route leg.

Auto-routeAdding waypoints

From the Auto-route-review menu:

  1. Select and hold on the route leg that you wish to add the waypoint to.
  2. Select Insert waypoint.
  3. Move the cursor to the location where you want to place the waypoint.
  4. Select Save.

Once the waypoint has been added, the caution symbol is removed.

Note

When waypoints are added, you must ensure that they are placed in a safe, navigable location, as the system does not apply the safety distances criteria to additional waypoints.
