Getting started ContentsCommissioningControlsUse the physical buttons to operate the display. Each button has multiple functions.Switching on the displayThe display will automatically switch on when power is applied to the SeaTalk NG backbone, unless the display has previously been switched off using the Power button. If the Power button has been used to switch off the display then it must be used to switch the display back on again.Switching off the displayCompleting the set up wizardIf the display is being switched on for the first time or after a factory reset the set up wizard will be launched.Autopilot functions and modesYour autopilot has the following functions and modes.Autopilot response levelsThe Evolution-Series autopilot system includes response levels which allows the system to be configured for optimum performance depending on your current needs.Automatic turningAutomatic turning enables Evolution-Series autopilots to automatically turn to the next waypoint in a route. When the current waypoint arrival radius has been reached a countdown will commence, and when it reaches zero the vessel will automatically turn toward the next waypoint.Adjusting the display’s brightnessThe display’s brightness level can be adjusted.Shared BrightnessShared brightness enables simultaneous brightness adjustment of all products that are part of the same group. For example, these groups could be used to reflect the physical location of products on your vessel (e.g.: helm and flybridge).Changing the color schemeSetting the display responseDisplay response determines how quickly the values displayed onscreen are changed when changes occur in the received data. Setting the display response to a low value will dampen data fluctuations to provide a more stable reading. Setting the display response to a higher value will reduce the damping to make readings more responsive.Multiple data sources (MDS)MDS is a Raymarine scheme for managing multiple sources of identical data types on the same network (e.g.: in an MFD network you may have more than one source of GNSS (GPS) position data).Previous topic: Software detailsNext topic: Commissioning — Evolution autopilot system
