Fitting suppression ferrites

In certain installation scenarios interference may be experienced in the form of data corruption when reading and writing to external storage via the card reader. Under these circumstances the supplied suppression ferrites should be fitted to the card reader’s cable, as described below.

Suppression ferritesTwo of the suppression ferrites should be fitted at 6 mm (0.24 in) intervals from the connector end of the cable and the third ferrite at a distance of 53 mm (2.09 in) from the rear of the card reader. Cable ties are also supplied to help secure each ferrite in place.
