Cleaning the display screen

The touchscreen has an oleophobic protective coating, which is fingerprint-resistant and oil-repelling, to protect your display screen. To remove fingerprints from the display, simply wipe the screen gently with a clean, lint-free cloth, such as a microfibre cloth. For more stubborn smears, follow the steps below:

Important

Do NOT use an abrasive cloth or abrasive cleaning fluid to clean the screen, as this will degrade the protective coating and potentially scratch the screen.

CleaningScreen

  1. Switch off the power to the display.
  2. Clean the screen using a mild detergent solution and a clean, lint-free cloth to remove all dirt particles and salt deposits.
  3. Rinse the screen with fresh, clean water to remove any remaining detergent.
    Note

Leaving detergent on the glass may deteriorate the protective coating.

  4. Allow the screen to dry naturally.
  5. If any smears remain, very gently wipe the screen with a fresh, clean, lint-free cloth.
