Post-installation checks

These checks should be carried out after installation, and prior to the commissioning of the autopilot system.
System ChecksPost-installation
  1. Switch on power to the autopilot system and associated equipment.

    • Drive interface unit

    • Autopilot controller

    • DeviceNet backbone (if this has its own power supply)

  2. Check that the autopilot controller powers up. If the display is blank press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds.
  3. Check the EV-2 and Pilot Controller display have the latest software. Visit www.raymarine.com/software to obtain the latest software, and then use your multifunction display to update the software on these autopilot system components. The web page also contains instructions on how to update your software.
  4. Check the display for error messages that could indicate a problem with the installation.
  5. Check the LED status indications for the EV-2. For more information, refer to: LED indications
  6. If the fault persists and cannot be rectified, contact your dealer or Raymarine product support.
