Data sources
The chartplotter can receive data readings from connected sensors and devices. This data can be displayed on the screen providing situational and environmental awareness. The chartplotter, or designated data master chartplotter can also act as a data source, transmitting data to other connected devices.
Data sourcesData can be received from and transmitted to connected Ethernet and NMEA 2000 devices, or via a suitable gateway / converter for NMEA 0183, J1939, wireless, or manufacturer proprietary devices.
For more information on displaying data and to see which data items can be displayed refer to: Display data
For a list of supported NMEA 2000 data refer to: NMEA 2000 PGN support
Multiple data sourcesFor certain navigational and safety related data the chartplotter can manage multiple sources for the same data type and decide automatically which source to use as the preferred source for the system. Preferred data sources can also be selected manually. For more information refer to: Multiple data sources
