CCU and ORU — location requirements

Important requirements to follow when selecting a suitable location to install the Camera Conversion Unit (CCU) and Object Recognition Unit (ORU):

In addition to the below, ensure that your installation location meets the requirements listed in the following section: General location requirements

  • Water ingress — Both products are NOT protected against the ingress of moisture or liquids. The product should be located in a protected area away from moisture and exposure to rain and salt spray.

  • MicroSD access — Ensure that both products are installed in a location with a minimum clearance of 100 mm (3.94 in) from the MicroSD card slot, to allow insertion and removal of MicroSD cards.

  • Fan clearance

    — Ensure that the ORU is installed in a location with a minimum clearance of 100 mm (3.94 in) from the front and top fan apertures, to allow sufficient ventilation around the unit.
  • Fan obstruction — Ensure that the ORU is NOT installed in a location where the front and top fan apertures will be obstructed.

  • Mounting surface — Ensure that the CCU is NOT installed on a metallic surface, and that each of the fixings used to mount the unit do NOT come into contact with a metallic surface once secured.
