The Cyclone and Cyclone Pro are Solid State open array Radar scanners. Cyclone provides a map-like representation of an extended area around your vessel, enabling you to identify birds, weather, other vessels, and land features such as coastlines and hills.

The Cyclone and Cyclone Pro Open Array Radars include the following features:

  • Solid-state technology (no magnetron) for improved efficiency, and rapid start-up.

  • Choice of 3, 4, or 6 ft antenna array.

  • Choice of two power outputs — 55 W (Cyclone) or 110 W (Cyclone Pro).

  • Low-profile design (335 mm / 13.1 in height), for greater installation flexibility.

  • Instrumented range up to 96 Nm (dependent on model and installation location).

  • Scanner rotation up to 60 RPM, for high-speed imaging.

  • 100 knot wind rating, meeting the IEC 62388 standard for shipborne Radar.

  • Narrow horizontal beam widths for enhanced target separation.

  • CHIRP pulse compression for improved target range resolution, and reduced background noise.

  • ARPA automatic target acquisition and tracking (up to 100 simultaneous ARPA targets — requires LightHouse 4, v4.4 or later, and Cyclone software v.1.25, or later), and collision avoidance.

  • Doppler display, making it easier to track approaching and receding objects.

  • Enhanced Bird Mode — Radar gain and tuning are automatically optimized for identifying clusters of sea birds, to assist you in locating fishing spots.

  • Weather detection.

  • RangeFusion™ — short and long pulses are combined to provide a high-clarity Radar image for both short-range and long-range targets, simultaneously.

  • Radar image display and control via Raymarine multifunction display.

  • Real-time heading display.

  • Data connection via RayNet cable.

  • 12 V or 24 V operation (with VCM100 power converter)

  • Waterproof to IPX 6.
