Stream Type ⁽⁷⁾ — (Main Stream / Sub Stream tabs)

Enables you to view the camera stream type.

By default, the Stream Type setting is set to Video Stream.

Video Codec ⁽⁸⁾ — (Main Stream / Sub Stream tabs)

Enables you to change the Video Codec between H.264 (Advanced Video Coding) and H.265 (High-Efficiency Video Coding).

By default, the Video Codec setting is set to H.264.

The H.264 (Advanced Video Coding) setting requires lower processing power at the cost of a higher storage space and bandwidth requirement.

The H.265 (High-Efficiency Video Coding) setting requires lower storage space and bandwidth at the cost of a higher processing power.

Resolution — (Main Stream / Sub Stream tabs)

Enables you to change the camera streaming resolution.

It is recommended that you change this setting to best match the resolution of your display.

Main Stream:

• 3MP (2304*1296)

• 1080P (1921*1080)

• 720P (1280*720)

Sub Stream:

• 448P (800*448)

• D1 (704*576)

• 360P (640*360)

• CIF (352*288)

I Frame Interval — (Main Stream / Sub Stream tabs)

Enables you to change the number of subsequent frames (delta frames) that occur between each I-frame.

Increasing the I Frame Interval causes a lower amount of storage space and bandwidth to be used, at the cost of a worsened image quality.

Decreasing the I Frame Interval causes a higher amount of storage space and bandwidth to be used, at the benefit of an improved image quality.

FPS — (Main Stream / Sub Stream tabs)

Enables you to change the FPS (Frame Per Second) value.

A higher frame rate will typically ensure a better video quality, but will require more storage space and a higher bandwidth. A lower frame rate will typically provide a poorer video quality, but will ensure that less storage space and a lower bandwidth is required.

Rate Control — (Main Stream / Sub Stream tabs)

Enables you to change the Bit Rate Control settings.

CBR (Constant Bit Rate) ensures a higher video quality at the cost of a higher storage and bandwidth requirement.

VBR (Variable Bit Rate) ensures a lower storage and bandwidth requirement at the cost of a lower video quality.

Bitrate — (Main Stream / Sub Stream tabs)

Enables you to either manually set the Bitrate or to choose from a list of pre-defined values.

This setting is only available if you have set the Rate Control setting to CBR.

Enables you to change the Quality setting.

This setting is only available if you have set the Rate Control setting to VBR.
