Engine integrations

Engine integration allows data and notifications from compatible engine systems to be received by the chartplotter and displayed onscreen.

Engine integrationPre-requisites:

  • The engine system and LightHouse chartplotter must be connected to the same NMEA 2000 network.

  • The chartplotter must support the data that it receives from the engine system.

There are different methods for integrations, these are:

  • Standard NMEA 2000 — Engines that transmit data using standard NMEA 2000 sentences that are supported by the chartplotter.

  • ECI-100 integrations — The ECI-100 can convert certain proprietary and J1939 data to supported NMEA 2000 sentences.

  • Manufacturer gateway integrations — Some engine manufacturers provide gateways which convert their proprietary data to NMEA 2000 sentences that is supported by the chartplotter.

  • Manufacturer specific integrationsRaymarine has performed engine system integrations with some specific manufacturers. The chartplotter is able to receive and display the manufacturer’s proprietary data. These integrations include a manufacturer specific engine app that are intended to be used to display engine data.

Data received by the chartplotter can be displayed in the Dashboard app, Sidebars and app Data overlays.

Notifications are system wide and displayed regardless of app or menu that is currently displayed.
