Compatibility for First-Generation Axiom-Series displays
Important compatibility information and upgrade considerations when using older chartplotters.

First-generation Axiom, Axiom Pro, Axiom+, and Axiom XL displays are designed to run LightHouse 4 only, and cannot be upgraded to LightHouse 5 due to processor and memory limitations.
When running LightHouse 4, these displays cannot network with systems containing Axiom 2, Axiom 2 Pro, or Axiom 2 XL displays running the forthcoming LightHouse 5 software.
Mixed Axiom® Systems — Important Guidance Before Updating
On vessels that have a mixed network of first-generation Axiom-Series and Axiom 2-Series displays, all displays must remain on the same version of LightHouse 4, in order to maintain compatibility. To move to LightHouse 5, first-generation Axiom-Series displays must be replaced with their Axiom 2-Series equivalents.
Summary
Axiom 2, Axiom 2 Pro, or Axiom 2 XL systems are future-ready for LightHouse 5.
First-generation Axiom, Axiom Pro, Axiom+, and Axiom XL displays are limited to LightHouse 4.
LightHouse 4 will continue to receive maintenance and security updates, while all new features will be exclusive to LightHouse 5.
