i70-Series software release history

The following is a cumulative list of the new features introduced in subsequent releases of the i70-Series software, since the initial release (v1.08; October 2011).

This list includes new features only. It does NOT include software maintenance items, such as bug fixes or performance improvements.

i70-Series v3.23 / v3.24 new features:

New features

(Software release dates: August 2024 / March 2025)

  • Added support for configuring the RSW-Wired series of wind transducers.

  • Added ability to receive NMEA 2000 PGNs 130312 and 130316 (including Dew point).

  • Added ability for TWD (True Wind Direction) readings to automatically use SOG (Speed Over Ground) if STW (Speed Through Water) is not available.

  • Added Position data format options to the Units menu.

  • Engine alarms now auto-cancel when alarm state is removed.

  • All RPM dials now have 5 or 10 minor indices between each major index.

  • Supports true wind from NMEA 2000 values.

  • Allows a debug level to be set. This setting should only be used for troubleshooting purposes when directed by Raymarine Technical support.

  • Support for engine icons on the bespoke engine pages.

  • Addition of the Honda specific engine alarms.

  • Addition of the Honda engine Trolling mode indication.

  • Change to the color palettes to better match Axiom-Series displays.

  • Support for the calibration of DST810 (Replacement for the obsolete Airmar DST800).

  • True Wind Direction TWD now available in both Magnetic and True when an MFD / Chartplotter is in the system.

  • Dual page selection added to Favorite pages. Dual data pages (two items) can now be selected when creating a custom page.

  • Fuel manager added:

    • Fuel Economy — Distance achieved per measurement of fuel.

    • Est. Fuel Remaining — Estimated fuel available.

    • Fuel Used (Trip) — Amount of fuel used on current trip.

    • Fuel Used (Season) — Amount of fuel used this season.

    • Distance to Empty — Distance until fuel depletion.

    • Time to Empty — Amount of time until fuel depletion.

    • Fuel Flow Rate — Amount of fuel used over time.

  • Added support for Honda ECO mode in the Engine data pages. The ECO mode is only supported if a compatible Honda engine is directly interfaced via NMEA 2000 (it is not supported via an ECI-100 v1.20).

  • Speed calibration process now improved to include three levels. (Single point, Add Points & Advanced).

  • Analogue rudder angle dial can now be displayed as a full page.

  • MOB pop up page added & Alarm can be silenced.

  • Improvements to MDS (Multiple Data Sources) functionality.

  • Depth alarms now cancelled on any display globally.

  • Graphic history pages now show vertical scale.

  • Fuel flow rate bar can now be selected.

  • About System added to Diagnostic Menu. The menu will search & display devices found on the SeaTalk NG network.

i70-Series v1.25 new features:

  • Added full compatibility for the iTC-5 (instrument Transducer Converter). This allows full calibration and set-up of all transducer variants supported by the iTC-5.

i70-Series v1.15 new features:

  • Modification to Temperature calibration.

  • Trip value can now be reset. The Trip value has the following functions:

    • i70 & Speed Pod – Trip stored in i70 and is individual to each display.

    • i70 & DST800 – Trip stored in DST and is a single global Trip.

    • i70 & iTC-5 – Trip stored in iTC-5 and is a single global Trip.

i70-Series V1.01 bootcode:
